DOs and DON’Ts

I have many driveways that start cracking up because water based acrylic does not mix with the oil based tar.

Oil and water do not mix!

We won't use an oil based sealer, which wont cause cracking like the acrylic sealer.

Driveway Guys power blows, scrapes and brooms your driveway before sealing, so hosing down your driveway can be a big help for us. If you decide to hose down your driveway please do the hosing the night before and not the day of your appointment. We need a dry surface to apply the sealant.

No. Please make sure your driveway is clear of all vehicles, pots, plants, etc.

Scheduling

Just continue your normal daily activities as usual and make sure all vehicles, pots, planters, etc. are off your driveway. Driveway Guys will do a the job and rope off Again.

Product Information

We use world famous Black Mac by McAsphalt.

Our product is oil based.
Acrylic is water based and your driveway is oil based.
WATER AND OIL DO NOT MIX.

Weather

We will have to reschedule. Usually We will come the next day depending on how busy we are.
A Driveway Guys representative will call or email to confirm the new appointment.

No Problem! Although we have to apply our world famous BlackMac sealer on a dry surface, our sealer is oil base and if it happens to rain minutes after applying the rain will bead right off the driveway not doing any damage at all. We guarantee all of our work 100%.
